The Birth, Life, and Death of a Star!

December 29, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm CST

Learn about the life cycle of stars during this 45 minute to one hour program. We will have a group activity where all of the visitors get together to act out the life cycle of a star. After that, we will set up a telescope with a special solar filter allowing you to look at the sun without damaging your eyes. Rangers will share facts about the Sun that allows life to thrive here on Earth. We might even have the chance to see sun spots!

We recommend bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable, flat shoes when participating in any activity. Restrooms are available at the Headquarters, Activity Center, Marina, and in each camping loop. Leashed pets welcome!

Regular park admission fees of $5 per adult ages 13 and up apply; no additional charge for activities. No reservations necessary.
