Movie Night at Memorial Park

November 30, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-6

Memorial Park Conservancy (MPC) and the Greater Houston Off-Road Biking Association (GHORBA) are teaming up to screen North of Nightfall under the stars! Thanks to Sun and Ski Sports, we are offering FREE admission and free popcorn, and thanks to Saint Arnold’s Brewery, free beer – just bring a blanket or chair, your friends, and even your pup (on leash).
Doors open at 5:30 pm with food trucks and beer available.
Door prizes at 6 pm by Sun and Ski Sports and Houston Bike Share.
Movie starts shortly afterwards and will run for 65 mins.
Hidden among the glaciers on Axel Heiberg Island, high in the Arctic Circle, are mountain bike lines too incredible to ignore. Harsh temperatures, volatile weather and nine-month winters mean the area is normally devoid of human life. But each summer, this frozen landscape flourishes under endless daylight revealing a spectacular ecosystem. Join Darren Berrecloth, Carson Storch, Cam Zink and Tom van Steenbergen in North of Nightfall as they embark on an expedition to the top of the world to explore this relatively unknown land. Here they discover a rapidly changing environment steeped in history along with descents unlike anything anyone’s ridden to date.Rating: none. Running time: 66 minutes
