McKinney Falls Trail Crew
November 16, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm CST
An event every month that begins at 8:30 am on day Third of the month, repeating until December 28, 2019

Looking for an opportunity to work outside, gain new skills, and give back to the only state park in Austin, TX? Join our team as a Trail Crew Volunteer!
Trail maintenance experience is a plus, but not necessary. We will train you in proper tool usage, trail specifications, and natural resource management.
Our goal is to have a committed group of individuals to service our trails once a month and lead community groups on additional service days in the park as needed.
Trail Days (Third Saturday of each month)
When: 8:30am-12:30pm
Meet: A Ranger at the Playground after obtaining entrance permits at HQ. State that you’re a Trail Crew Volunteer and your entry fees will be waived for the day.
Bring: your own non-mechanized hand tools (loppers, rakes, weed cutters) if you have them. We are very limited in our supplies.
Water! Snacks! A backpack! Bug spray! Your own vehicle!
Wear: sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants to protect your legs (like jeans), work gloves, and eye protection (safety goggles).
Leave: dogs/pets/children under the age of 15 years old at home. All minors 15 years or older must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the event.
