Leading the Charge: Black History Month Celebration

Join the Buffalo Soldiers as they celebrate Black History Month at Lake Ray Roberts State Park. Listen to History of the Buffalo Soldiers and how they lived on the frontier. Special sessions on the African American graduates of West Point who became officers of the Buffalo Soldiers.

Join the Buffalo Soldiers at Cedar Hill State Park as we celebrate Black History Month. Stop by to view artifacts and listen to tales of the early frontier for the whole family! We will feature a program from Lt. Dolifka entitled, “Leading the Charge” which will be delivered for visitors at

Audience size may be limited, and social distancing enforced. In order to enjoy the park and our Buffalo Solider programs, make sure to purchase your park entry pass before arriving to the park.
