Homeschool Program – Pi Day (Registration Required)

Join Ranger Amy to learn about the Pi equation. We’ll use the equation to take measurements of trees, we’ll walk the distance of pi, and afterwards we’ll enjoy some homemade pie straight from our Dutch Ovens.

Meet at the Education Center/Nature Center on the Walnut Ridge Unit.

This class will be both indoors and outdoors. Bring bug spray, sun protection, and walking shoes!

The program is free, but if you plan on staying in the park after the program then you must obtain a park entry permit. Entrance fees are paid at Park Headquarters, self-pay stations, or online. Fees are $4 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free. Bring your Texas state park pass to waive entry fees.
