Following a Farmer’s Footsteps

January 1, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 pm CST

First Day Hike at LBJ State Park and Historic Site

Join a farmer from the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm as they hike down to the farm to check on the animals, milk the cow, and feed the livestock. For centuries farmers have left the warmth of their homes to make sure their animals are safe and fed. So join us on an easy one mile hike from the LBJ State Park Visitor Center to the farm and back. Hikers of any age are welcome, as are their pets. This is an easy hike that should take less than an hour, though time spent caring for the farm animals may lengthen the time outside. Bundle up and come outside!
