Art in the Park – Wrap Your Own Wreath

December 1, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am CST

Deck the halls with East Texas charm!

Make your own wreath with natural materials from the Pineywoods!

– Join Ranger Jared in expressing your holiday cheer for any and all festivities this winter by making a homemade wreath twisted with an East Texas twang.

– As we wrap our wreaths, we will talk about some of the more interesting characteristics of and uses for the plants we will be playing with (when they’re not decorating our holiday homes!)

– Remember, we can’t gather materials from inside the park! All our wreath materials will be donated from local landowners, so we can celebrate the East Texas landscape while protecting it inside Mission Tejas. Learn how making art in our parks helps support stewardship of Texas’ cultural, historical, and natural resources.

Meet @ the Playground! Participants may want to bring water and appropriate clothing/footwear for the outdoors. Come make something beautiful in your park!

*Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
