Winter is coming… and the wildlife is ready for it!

Come learn how some of the stars of East Texas ecosystem survive the harsh realities of winter.

– From storing food, to gaining weight, to leaving town, to simply sleeping through it – there is no limit to the ways critters combat the cold!

– Join Ranger Jared and discover the many ways life slows down, speeds up, and hangs on as animals in East Texas prepare for the cold months ahead.

– There will be plenty of hands on examples to see and feel as we explore the countless survival strategies going on all around us in the Pineywoods this time of year.

Meet @ the Rice Family Log Home. Participants may want to bring water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, and a strong will to survive!
