| Running a website like WildTexas.com for 6 years is both an exciting and frustrating experience. The excitement comes from exploring new places, documenting and sharing them with you on the site; the frustration comes from knowing there are many truly remarkable places in Texas we have not yet explored, yet so desperately want to. Of all the places I silently berated myself for having not experienced yet, Big Bend National Park topped the list. Simply put, Big Bend exemplifies "wild Texas" -- rugged and scenic grandeur; natural and beautiful; rich in life and history. It is a great pleasure to share our experiences from a week camping in Big Bend in October 2001.
