About the Park

Out of the seven public parks situated on 8,240-acre Canyon Lake, Potter's Creek Park is the only one that is open year-round and features developed campsites. Seven screened shelters, five large group campsites and 114 RV-ready campsites are available. The park also features a fishing pier, swimming beach, group pavilion, two 2-lane boat ramps, and restrooms with showers.

Day use activities are not permitted at the park without a campsite rental.

Location

The park is located on the northwest side of Canyon Lake. From IH-35, take FM 306 West 23 miles to Potter's Creek Road. Go south 3 miles to park entrance. From Highway 281, take FM 306 east 8 miles to Potter's Creek Road. Go south for 3 miles to park entrance.

The nearest major Texas cities are: Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, Laredo, San Antonio
