Other activities include picnicking, birding, fishing, picnicking, wildlife observation and nature study. The park's athletic fields for team sports, including soccer and baseball, are leased by local organizations and are not available for reservations. Four group pavilions are available by reservation.
This is a day use only park. Camping is not permitted.

On February 5, 2006, in Al Husayniyah, Iraq, SSG Morningstar, 27, gave his life for his country and the democratic ideals he cherished." While riding the Boardwalk, we observed great blue heron, great egret, and a large family of black-bellied whistling ducks. LocationFrom Loop 410, drive 3.2 miles on U.S. Highway 281 to Bitters Road.
