About the National Monument

Alibates Flint Quarries comprises 1,079 acres in the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, and is the only National Monument in Texas. Access to the Monument is limited to guided tours which are available by reservation only. The monument does not have a visitor center or self-guided trails.
