The focal point of this hike -- The Window -- slickrock is all that separates us from the sheer 220 foot drop below. All rainwater & snowmelt that enters the Chisos Basin is channeled through the Window, making it an unfortunate place to be caught in a thunderstorm. Big Bend National Park, October 2001.
