Wild Texas Newsletter -- August 1998
http://wildtexas.com/
*** EDITOR'S NOTE
Welcome to the August issue of the Wild Texas newsletter, your
guide to Texas parks, nature, and travel. This is a special
month for us here at Wild Texas. In August 1995, we created our
first Texas parks and travel site on the World Wide Web. The
success of that first site spawned Wild Texas in May 1997.
Sharing our adventures, travels, and nature photography with you
through this medium has proven truly rewarding. We hope you
enjoy Wild Texas and the opportunities that await you in our
beautiful state.
*** NEW TRIP REPORT
The trip report for our July camping trip to Brazos Bend
State Park is now online. Find out what birds and wildlife we
observed while pretending the summer heat was not getting to
us!

*** UPDATED PARK PROFILES
We are listening to your feedback and working to make the Wild
Texas park profiles even more useful. We now use Microsoft
Expedia's free mapping service to generate all maps to the
parks. In addition, we now provide more detailed weather
information directly on each park page.
Visit our newest park profile, Galveston Island State Park, to
see the changes first-hand:
