I love these tent stakes! September 22, 2009 Jeff Gautrau If you've only used the thin metal tent stakes or the plastic yellow ones you need to invest in these tent stakes. The amount of money and time you'll spend replacing the metal or yellow stakes makes these a great investment. I've used 12+ times and haven't had 1 stake bend. They also hold into the ground better than the standard metal or plastic stakes. I highly recommend!
Great for serious and not so serious camping :-) September 16, 2009 Ulrike Rady-Pizarro (APO, AE USA) These stakes are great because they're lightweight, easy to put into the ground and pretty much indestructible. Whether you're backpacking and need some light stakes or you want to tie down the family tent during heavy winds, these are the ones you want. We got a new tent this summer and after bending the third one of the stakes that came with it I remembered I bought these and didn't look back a the flimsy ones ever again... My only regret is not buying more of these! :-)
MSR Ground Hog Stake Kit August 6, 2009 M. Fleetwood Arrived quickly, used once time and so far, they worked great. Also light weight.
Worth every penny July 7, 2009 W. Karrow (wisconsin) I've had many tents, canopies, pagodas, etc.... I have tried many aftermarket stakes. These are by far the best. Simple to put in in most conditions, tough to break, only broken one when hitting it with a metal claw hammer and hit a rock. Easy to remove, even when the cord broke I was able to use the tip of another one to get the other out.
You don't know what good stakes are until you try these, also, you dont know what a difference good stakes can make.
MSR Groundhog June 24, 2009 MendoDan (Ukiah, Ca) Great stakes. Very strong, hold up well in rocky situations. You don't always need special stakes like these but when you do they are invaluable. They hold better in sand than the typical stake, but not as well as special sand stakes (but sand stakes do not work well in rocky soil).
