Amazon.com Product Description
A great addition to any camping trip, the Coleman tent light will keep your tent illuminated during the evening hours. The light attaches to your tent poles easily and securely via the built-in magnet, so you needn't worry about damaging your tent fabric. The light's powerful, replaceable Krypton bulb, meanwhile, offers plenty of light for reading, playing games, or chatting. Best of all, the light--which operates on four AA batteries (sold separately)--won't get in your way while you sleep or hang out, unlike standard lanterns. Made in China, the light includes an easy on/off switch.

About Coleman
The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.

3 out of 5 stars Handy but not very bright   September 30, 2009
    N. Herron (Middle America)
This light is nice because you can position it pretty much anywhere but it's only bright enough to navigate a dark tent and not step on someone. This is not a reading light or even a light to play cards by. And b/c it's battery operated it's not a good night light. Maybe great in a tiny 1 person tent where you could have it inches from your face/reading material but not in a family size tent.

4 out of 5 stars Great tent light!   September 21, 2009

Loved this tent light...it was very helpful in setting up inside our tent. It lit up the inside of our 12x14 tent very well. The magnetic back used to attach the light to the tent is super strong so it definitely stays in place. Complaint...only one...when you take the magnet backing to remove or move the light the back cover that holds the batteries comes apart. That super strong magnet I mentioned earlier...well it's part of that battery cover.

4 out of 5 stars Wonderful reading companion in your tent.. and good for other uses :-)   September 16, 2009
    Ulrike Rady-Pizarro (APO, AE USA)
When I first unpacked it I thought it was a bit small but once the tent was set up and night came I appreciated this nifty light. Due to the handy magnet plate you can easily mount it even on a string hanging from the top of the tent. Once we used it as a reading light hooked up above the mat it was in constant demand and we had to take turnes each night. Even if it's raining outside and you want to play cards and have no lantern - it suffices although it's not as bright as a lantern. We won't go camping without it again!

5 out of 5 stars Very pleased with this light   September 14, 2009

I know many people are going to say it's not very bright. It's not supposed to be super bright. It's supposed to be good for one person to read in bed at night and still not eat batteries. That's exactly what it is. We attach this to the wall of our tent right over our heads. It's low enough to allow someone to sleep and bright enough to read by. I put it in the tent bag so we'll always have it ready to put into action. We've used it extensively and still haven't had to replace the batteries. There are other lights that I've seen but none of them offer the diffused light without being over-bearing like this one. Well worth the price. I'm thinking about getting a second one so I can turn mine off and my girlfriend can still read her book while I sleep!

5 out of 5 stars Coleman Tent Light   September 4, 2009

Great night light for keeping the "Bears away". At least that's what my 5 year old and 2 year old decided on their 1st camping trip. They fell asleep fast and we had the assurance that if they woke up while we sat at the campfire they wouldn't trip into the bushes looking for mommy or daddy. Very handy.
