Product Description
The Razor™ Spark scooter offers a fast and fun ride that easily folds down for storing or transport. The heat-treated, aircraft-grade aluminum construction includes a rear fender friction brake that sets off awesome sparks when you step on it. It also includes folding handlebars and a wheelie bar. 98mm inline style wheels with ABEC 5 bearings provide smooth movement. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Amazon.com Product Description
Adding a bit of spark to the original kick scooter, the Razor Spark has modified its A2 scooter with a foot controlled, detachable Spark Bar to light up your ride. The Spark Scooter's spark cartridge creates 20 percent more sparks than other brands on the market thanks to its 5 flint pads. A bonus spark cartridge is included.

Light up your ride with the Razor Spark.
The Razor Spark is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Its T-tube and deck, meanwhile, fold up into a compact footprint, so riders can fit the scooter inside a bag or carry it at their side when riding isn't appropriate (it weighs 7 pounds). And thanks to the 98mm inline-style urethane wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, and patented rear fender brake, riders will always feel smooth and in control when kicking along the sidewalk.

Recommended for ages 8 and older, the Razor Spark will support a rider up to 143 pounds. It's also backed by a six-month warranty.

5 out of 5 stars Fun Scooter   March 13, 2010
N. Cotter (annapolis, MD United States)
I gave the razor spark scooter 5 stars because my 7 year old daughter loves it. With every nice day we have, she grabs her scooter after school and rides it. It's very portable as well. Honestly, she doesn't use the sparks that much, but they work great. I've read other reviews that they run out quickly, I wouldn't know...she has so much fun riding around on it she forgets about the sparks. I probably could have saved a few dollars and just purchased the standard scooter, but this is what she had to have and it was the holidays :)

3 out of 5 stars Cool but there is an unaddressed safety problem   February 15, 2010

My biggest concern is that if you turn while sparking, the back of the scooter slides out uncontrolably and the child wipes out badly and of course falls to the ground. I can't belive there isn't a warning about this? A clear design flaw. The kids all love the sparking action, but the epensive spark cartridge was used up in less than half an hour. The base is rolled over sheet matal instead of an extruded aluminum piece

My son loves the sparks feature of this scooter. It adds to the fun of riding it. Just caution the user not to use it in the house if you don't want to get on your knees and scrub the streaks it makes!

4 out of 5 stars Scooter great - spark so-so   February 1, 2010
Catherine E. Hall
I bought this scooter for my 8 year old daughter. She previously had a cheaper, non-Razor scooter. She really loves the scooter itself. She says the Razor spark scooter is a much smoother ride than her previous scooter, and its more stable. My 250lb husband has even ridden on it with no problems. The only problem with the spark scooter is the "spark" claim. It definitely makes sparks but as other reviewers have mentioned, the spark cartridge is used up very quickly. After about 4 good days of using the scooter, the cartridge needed to be replaced. Overall, its a good product but if you are buying it for the spark only, you might want to consider just getting the regular Razor scooter.
