Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The highly portable and air-activated Heatmax Hand and Body Warmers are a use-anywhere solution to the frigid cold. Keep a couple in your car, first aid kit, or backpack for emergencies, or use them as a regular staple during any cold-weather activities, including skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, or working outdoors. Designed to last for up to 18 hours, the Heatmax Hand and Body Warmers provide safe, comfortable warmth in the coldest of temperatures, and they also are excellent alternatives to bulky electric heating pads for treating arthritis, back pain, or muscle pain. The four by five inch packets can be placed in pockets, between layers of clothing, or directly where you need them. Heatmax warmers are odorless, disposable, non-toxic, and nonflammable, so you can use them without worry. Made of natural materials, including iron powder, water, salt, activated charcoal, and wood fiber, the warmers are environmentally friendly. The packets are simple to use. When you open the wrapper exposing the contents to air, the materials react together to produce heat through an extremely fast oxidation (or rusting) process. Users should allow 10 to 20 minutes for the warmers to reach their optimal temperatures, and can count on warmth for up to 18 hours.

1 out of 5 stars Am I doing something wrong?   October 30, 2009

Unless I'm doing something wrong, these don't work. I've tried airing it, "massaging" the package to get the stuff inside to mix, and just waiting but an 1-2hours later, it still only gets a little warm.

5 out of 5 stars Great for poor circulation   June 20, 2009

I have Raynauds (where my fingers and toes turn white because the blood has left to keep my torso warm). Thus I am always cold. We live in New England and it gets pretty cold in the winter. I carry these and the toe warmers in my car.

We go hiking and cross-country skiing in the winter. I would not last 10 minutes without these. It makes all the difference between a enjoyable day or a miserable one.

Don't delay, get these today!!

1 out of 5 stars wrong picture, wrong size   June 16, 2009

I ordered this product based on the picture advertized by amazon because I had an empty package of the product and matched it to the picture. The actual product that arrived said "super" and "bigger and lasts longer". I now have the wrong product which is twice the size.

5 out of 5 stars Great for pumping milk TOO!!!   May 18, 2009
R. Holmes (pgh, pa.)
I was engorged and my doctor told me to use hot water bottles for make my milk let down. Well to make a long story short its easier to deal with the body warmers than the huge hot water bottle. This is great for moms on the go who are breastfeeding and need to pump.

I would definitely buy this again. I direct traffic sometimes, so I put these in my gloves to keep my hands warm.
