Product Description The Big Zip SL Hydration System by Platypus is now more durable than ever and loaded with improved features, like the new easy-to-clean wide-mouth SlideLock closure with secondary reinforcement so you know it?s sealed securely, and a quick-disconnect valve for removing thereservoir from a pack without re-routing the hose. Other upgrades include a redesigned, easy-to-use shutoff valve and a softer, more flexible, but still taste-free reservoir.

| Customer Reviews: Durable but still taste plastic December 28, 2009 D. Shkuratko 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like this Bladder, very easy to clean, durable, holds enough eater. The only thing, it still has a bit of a plastic taste after i ride with it for a bit. I solved this by adding a bit of any kind of juice to the water and it overpowers the p[plastic taste. 4/5
easy to fill September 18, 2009 Bryant H. Berk (Bakersfield, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We purchase 3 of these units before a backpacking trip a month ago. One of them had a problem, with the tubing not reattaching easily to the bag after a week of use. We used a key to push the piece that catches the tubing back on, and didn't remove the tubing again. But I am giving the bags a 4 star rating because they worked great otherwise. I have a camelback that I use for bicycling that is much more difficult to fill. When it fails I'll be looking for something like this Platypus to replace it.
Great Bladder June 7, 2009 TIMA (Lexington, KY USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: Works with my MSR gravity filter, easy to clean, bite valve provides a rush of water, quick connect is handy, no leaks.
Cons: Zip end is a little bulky, need to watch bladder around sharp items(knifes, etc.)
great product
Water on the go! May 15, 2009 Jennine L. Wardle (Kenmore, WA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We got the 3 liter Platy bladders as a replacement for the 2 liter bladders that came with our hiking packs. What a difference! That extra liter really comes in handy on hot, cold or dry days. I also appreciate that this bladder doesn't impart a funky taste to our water like the original bladder did. I love the large Zip opening... really makes filling and cleaning very easy (although the anti-microbial treatment means I don't have to clean it often).
